What is Hypnosis ?

Hypnosis is the transition of mental states that occur between being fully awake completely asleep. It is a naturally occurring process that  you go through everyday without realizing it . It is such a common occurrence that you likely already understand a great deal more than you think. 

How does Hypnosis help people?

 A different way to explain being awake is being conscious, and being asleep or "passed out" is unconscious .  In this same way being "in hypnosis" is being "in a subconscious state" .  Our conscious mind controls the thoughts and behaviors we direct it to  while we are awake and our subconscious mind does everything else. This includes learning repetitive  behaviors so our conscious mind focus on other things and creating values and beliefs based on our emotional reactions to keep us safe.   This makes our subconscious mind very important. It also makes information stored in his part of our brain hard to access from our conscious brain. By being in a hypnosis were our subconscious mind is control , we are able to change habits and beliefs from the part of our brain that is using them.
